Kris Rookey is a 2006 graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School and earned a degree in Business Administration in 2012.

Kris began his hearing healthcare journey as a Hearing Instrument Specialist apprentice in 2012 and earned his New York State Hearing Instrument Specialist license in 2015.

In 2016 he began working as a Hearing Instrument Specialist at McLear’s Hearing Aid Sales & Service in Ogdensburg, NY and purchased the well established practice in January of 2020.

In 2019, Kris brought compassionate and affordable hearing healthcare to Oswego and opened Upstate Hearing Inc.  

With a desire to provide even better care for his patients, Kris moved the practice to a larger, nicer space and adopted the name Port City Hearing to better align with the rich history of the beautiful port city of Oswego, NY, the place he calls home.

Kris is in pursuit of becoming a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist and looks forward to seeing current and new patients in the new office.
